- Von Baer leather quality: Von Baer uses authentic full-grain Bos Taurus cowhide, selected from A-grade hides, the top selection grade: hides with excessive bites, scars and surface damage are rejected. Cut from the bend — the back and butt of the hide, where the fibers are densest and tightest. The leather is drum-dyed, so the color penetrates the entire cross-section, and cut to 1.4–1.8 mm for bags and 1.0–1.2 mm for wallets — the thickness refined professional goods demand, giving controlled drape, structure without bulk and comfortable weight.

Strap and handle anchor points are built as load-bearing components from layered, skived leather reinforced internally with tear-resistant material. Interiors are purpose-built fitted linings crafted as separate components, and rigid parts use leather board made from genuine leather fiber. Bags are assembled with Schmetz needles, Serafil thread by Amann Group and a Fenice three-stage edge system, matched to leather thickness at every point.
- Three laptop-protection constructions: Laptop protection is engineered per model rather than one generic padded sleeve. In the No.1 the padded middle gusset is the laptop compartment, held above the point where the briefcase meets the ground. The Diplomat, Elegant and Exquisite carry the laptop in a padded sleeve suspended slightly above the bottom of the bag. The City, City Large and Essential use a centre-divider compartment protected by the bag's padded outer walls, a padded base and a firm protective material inside the leather shell.
