Von Baer Leather Gifts. Full-Grain From A-Grade Hides, Drum-Dyed Through the Hide.

Every piece in this range is made from A-grade full-grain leather, cut from the bend of the hide and drum-dyed so the color runs all the way through.

  • A-grade full-grain leather, cut from the bend for the densest hide: we select A-grade hides only from Bos Taurus cattle, chosen for their tight, fine, consistent grain. Our leather is cut from the bend, the back and butt of the hide where the fibers are densest and tightest, not the weaker belly and shoulder areas. Hides with excessive bites, scars, or surface damage don't make the selection.
  • Drum-dyed leather, color all the way through: We drum-dye the leather, so the color runs all the way through it: if it's ever scuffed, the leather underneath is the same shade, not the pale mark surface-dyed leather shows.
  • Complimentary blind embossing of your initials: we apply blind embossing (a pressed, un-inked mark in the leather, the same color as the surface) by hand, at no additional charge. The women's pebble-leather pieces are embossed in gold instead. Check the personalization box on the product page and type the initials there. Almost every piece in the range can be personalized.
  • Gift-wrapped and ready to give: wallets, belts and other smaller pieces arrive wrapped in tissue in our gift box and gift bag. Larger bags come in a soft cotton dust bag, and most include a matching leather luggage tag.

Can you emboss our company logo, not just initials, and is there a charge?

Yes, on request, and logo embossing is quoted per order. Each logo needs its own custom stamp, and not every logo, product or placement can be embossed, so our team looks at each request first. For a quote or a corporate gifting program, fill in the form on our corporate gifts page and we'll take it from there. Initials are simpler: they are complimentary on almost every item in this range. Check the personalization box on the product page and type them there. We apply blind embossing by hand on most pieces, and gold embossing on the women's pebble-leather pieces.
